Welcome to the New Mexico Region for:
FIRST® Tech Challenge
Designed for students in grades 7-12 to compete head to head, using a sports model and to transition students from FIRST® Lego League to the next level of robotics.
Teams are responsible for designing, building, and programming their robots to compete in an alliance format against other teams. Teams, including coaches, mentors and volunteers, are required to develop strategy and build robots based on sound engineering principles.
Awards are given for the competition as well as for community outreach, design, and other real-world accomplishments. Students learn to cooperate with those you are in competition with, as well as gracious professionalism.

2024 – 2025 New Mexico FTC Team Tournament Registration Information
2024-2025 New Mexico FTC Season Schedule:
Scrimmage 1, Dec. 6-7, Alamogordo Highschool, Alamogordo, NM
Scrimmage 2, Jan. 17-18, La Academia de Esperanza (L.A.D.E.) Charter School, Albuquerque, NM
NM Regional Championship Feb 7-8, Menaul School, Albuquerque, NM
REGISTRATION for NM teams will be $125 for the season covering all NM events (both scrimmages and regional championship). Register for the scrimmages you will attend and an invoice will be generated for the $125 to be paid by Nov. 15th regardless of whether you attend 1 or both scrimmages. Registration for the Regional Championship will be by invitation.
PLEASE NOTE: This season, teams from outside of the NM region are welcome to participate in our scrimmages, however, due to new FIRST advancement rules, they may not win the Inspire Award or advance to the NM Regional Championship or World Championship from NM. See Competition Manual for details.
