Welcome to the New Mexico Region for:
FIRST® Tech Challenge
Designed for students in grades 7-12 to compete head to head, using a sports model and to transition students from FIRST® Lego League to the next level of robotics.
Teams are responsible for designing, building, and programming their robots to compete in an alliance format against other teams. Teams, including coaches, mentors and volunteers, are required to develop strategy and build robots based on sound engineering principles.
Awards are given for the competition as well as for community outreach, design, and other real-world accomplishments. Students learn to cooperate with those you are in competition with, as well as gracious professionalism.

2023 – 2024 New Mexico FTC Team Tournament Registration Information
2023-2024 New Mexico FTC Season Schedule:
Alamogordo Qualifier, Nov 17-18, Alamogordo HS
Albuquerque Qualifier Dec 15-16, LADE Charter School, ABQ
NM Regional Championship Jan 19-20, LADE Charter School, ABQ
REGISTRATION for NM teams will be $125 for the season covering all NM events (both qualifiers and regional championship). Register for the qualifiers you will attend and an invoice will be generated for the $125 to be paid by Nov. 1st regardless of whether you attend 1 or both qualifiers. Registration for the Regional Championship will be by invitation.
PLEASE NOTE: This season, teams from outside of the NM region are welcome to participate in our qualifiers, however, due to new FIRST advancement rules, they may not win the Inspire Award or advance to the NM Regional Championship or World Championship from NM. See Game Manual Pt. 1, Chapter 6 for details.
