New Mexico FTC Qualifier Registration Opens Thursday 10/3
Hi NM FTC Teams!
We will be opening registration for the two New Mexico FTC Into the Deep Qualifiers this Thursday, Oct 3 at Noon MDT. Registration will be on the NM FTC website at
VERY IMPORTANT:
We will be doing things a little differently this season! Recently, our events have been running long due to judging. For this reason, some regions do all of their initial judging interviews on the Friday evening of the event. Due to travel distances in New Mexico, we recognize this is challenging and costly to some teams. To address this, initial judging interviews will split between Friday evening and Saturday morning. When you register for an event, you will be asked to let us know your preference for doing your initial judging interview on 1) Friday Evening, 2) Saturday morning, or 3) to Let Us Decide.
- You may not get your first choice! Preference for Saturday morning judging slots will be given to teams that travel more than 50 miles one-way to the event and in the order your registration for the event is received. So, if you really need a Saturday Morning slot, sign up early! Payment is not necessary to secure your spot in the registration order.
- Teams living closer than 50 Miles to the event should plan to be assigned an interview slot on Friday evening! We can only accommodate requests for Saturday morning from local teams if slots are available.
Our Qualifiers will be:
- Dec 6-7, 2024 – Alamogordo High School, Alamogordo
- Jan 17-18, 2025 – La Academia de Esperanza Charter School, Albuquerque
Teams may participate in one or both qualifiers.
The NM Championship will be Feb 7-8 at Menaul School in Albuquerque. Teams will be invited to that event after each Qualifier.
Registration fees this year will be the same as last year. Each NM team will pay a single $125 Participation fee that covers any and all NM season events. I will send you an invoice after you register for your first event. A huge thanks goes out to Ball Aerospace, Northrop Grumman and US DoD for their continued support of our programs that makes this possible!
