We had two teams sign up to do the public demo judging sessions on Saturday morning. These sessions will occur on stage starting at 8AM on Saturday, Dec 7. All teams are encouraged to view these sessions, especially new teams and students new to the FTC program. This is your chance to see what goes on during judging and to hear feedback given that does not usually occur during official judging sessions! As several folks have already asked, I am investigating the possibility of recording and/or live streaming these.
Due to various circumstances, we will not be offering private practice judging sessions to teams at this scrimmage. All teams will have the opportunity for full practice judging at the NM FTC Albuquerque Scrimmage on Jan 17-18.
The schedule for the day on Dec 7 at Alamogordo High School will be:
7:00 AM Doors open to teams
8:00 AM First open public judging session (A.S.T.R.O. Vikings)
8:30 AM Second open judging session (ENIGMA)
9:00-9:15 AM Short break
9:15 AM Opening ceremony
9:30 AM Competition rounds begin with a 1 hour break for lunch
When finals are complete, we will immediately end with a short closing ceremony.
To compete in this event, all teams must:
- Be registered and paid with FIRST
- Have two registered Lead Coach/Mentors who have completed Youth Protection Screening and their Consent & Release forms on the FIRST website.
- Have all participating students registered and have completed Consent and Release forms on the FIRST website.
I will send out a full detailed welcome letter later this week.
