Kickoff will be on Saturday, September 6 in a live stream broadcast from FIRST Headquarters starting at 10AM MDT!
We will be holding a DECODESM in-person Kickoff event in Albuquerque. A Competition field will be setup with the DECODESM Challenge set.
Albuquerque kickoff: Will be held at Main Event Entertainment venue in Albuquerque hosted by Out of the Bot Robotics. Details and a registration link for the Albuquerque kickoff can be found at:
Alamogordo kickoff: UPDATE: We will not be holding a kickoff event in Alamogordo this season. All teams are welcome at the Albuquerque kickoff or to view the live stream from FIRST
Competitions: We are currently planning competitions with a Qualifier or Scrimmage in December in Albuquerque, a Qualifier or Scrimmage in Alamogordo in January and the NM Regional Championship in Albuquerque in February. Everyone would really like those first two events to be Qualifiers! Whether they are Qualifiers or Scrimmages depends heavily on how many registered teams we have in the state, so if you know folks willing to form additional teams, that will help us a lot! We really need to grow by 6-8 teams over what we had last season! The FIRST model really depends on it’s teams helping to form new teams!
