Here’s some details on how this will work:
- I believe every coach in this scrimmage participated in our remote events last season. We will be using the same format for this event.
- I will send specific contact info and any planned meeting info directly to registered coaches by Thursday afternoon.
- You will be using the FTC Scoring App located at: https://ftc-scoring.firstinspires.org/
- The device running the app needs to be connected to the internet when running the matches!
- Login to the app using the registered Lead Mentor 1 or 2 FIRST Dashboard credentials.
- The scores are entered by a lead mentor or someone a lead mentor has designated as a scorekeeper in the app. If desired, lead mentors should see the option to assign that role in the app.
- The scoring screens being used are the same ones normally used by referees at in person events.
- The event time window is set up as Saturday, Jan 22 at Noon MST until Friday, Jan 28 at 6PM MST.
- All rounds must be run and entered by the 6 PM MST on Friday, Jan 28!
- You will have the whole event time period to run and score a total of six (6) official competition rounds. You can do them all at once, or spread them out through the week, working on your robot as you go.
- The match is scored by starting a normal 2 minute, 30 second competition round. There will be the usual Autonomous, Driver Controlled and End Game segments.
- You enter the robot’s performance into the app as you go and following the round. You will then submit the results of that round.
- Once you submit the results of that round, they are official!
- These are official timed rounds. Please Remember – Just like a real live event, there are no do overs if things don’t work!
- The system has provisions for running practice rounds, we recommend you use those as practice before running official rounds!
- We will hold a short closing to announce results on Sunday, Jan 30 at 3 PM via Zoom.
